Personally I think the importance of this gTLD is still yet to be perceived by the general public, but it's a game changer. Soon .TEL will be on everyone's business cards and inside everyone's mobile phone.

In fact, the heralds of .TEL are being carried in everyone's pocket right now; iPhone, Blackberry, Windows Mobile, & other pocket pc devices.

As these devices continue to get more powerful and easier to use the demand for an Internet phonebook continued to grow, so it's fitting that this emerged to make our lives less complicated through enhancing our use of these day to day devices.

Telnic in my opinion is grinning whenever they are compared to Linkedin, Facebook, or other social networking sites since they have a totally different focus. When I think .TEL I think "UTILITY", and when I think Facebook, LinkedIn, MySpace. etc., I think "Social Networking". The media simply hasn't seen anything like .TEL to date and tried to compare, but .Tel is a different business model.

I believe the social networking sites are going to need to integrate .TEL to keep their members up to the minute with Internet Tech.

Comments (0)
